Starfield weapons – all guns revealed ahead of release

Here is all the Starfield weapons and Starfield guns that have been spotted in trailers and gameplay ahead of the RPG's release on Xbox and PC.

Starfield Weapons: A soldier with an SMG can be seen

Starfield has finally been showcased and eagle-eyed individuals like ourselves have already pulled apart the reveal trailer and gameplay to get a look at the selection of Starfield weapons and Starfield guns that are in the game. From powerful and impactful shotguns to peashooter-like SMGs and pistols, we have a good idea of the variety of offers.

With more than 1,000 Starfield planets in the game, you will be able to find these guns across the game. Of course, by the time Starfield releases, there will be dozens if not hundreds of more guns for us to go over and cover, so this list will keep updating as we get closer to the Starfield Game Pass release date.

Starfield weapons: AR-99

AR-99 Assault Rifle

The AR-99 is very briefly shown off in the trailer and appears to be modeled quite similarly to other assault rifles from futuristic games like Destiny 2 and Apex Legends. It is one of the more accurate assault rifles and better at a distance than at mid-range.

Starfield weapons: Beowulf

Beowulf

The Beowulf is a lightweight assault rifle – well, at least that’s what it says on the butt of the gun. Sporting a boxy, gilded aesthetic, we fancy the looks of this one.

Starfield weapons: Brawlers Equinox

Brawler’s Equinox

Brawler’s Equinox is a laser rifle that shoots electromagnetic beams. It certainly looks like it was pulled from some sort of retrofuturistic sci-fi flick, making it a perfect addition to the arsenal of Starfield weapons.

Starfield weapons: Coachman

Coachman

Starfield weapons: Combat Knife

Combat Knife

Not only is the Combat Knife a great tool for dispatching foes up-close, but it can also be used to chop up that steak you accidentally overcooked. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

Starfield weapons: Drum Beat

Drum Beat

It’s not hard to figure out where the Drum Beat got its name from. By the looks of things, this will ship as a high-capacity rifle, potentially with the ability to go even further beyond with how much ammo it can pack.

Ember

If you don’t know if you’re packing enough heat, then bring the Ember laser pistol with you. This spicy little number fires off ignition beams, which we can imagine will lightly toast your enemies.

Starfield weapons: EON Semi-Auto Pistol

EON Semi-Auto Pistol

The EON semi-auto pistol is a fairly simple weapon, holding 12 bullets in a magazine by default and appears to be a strong backup for any fight. While it is relatively basic, Research Projects and crafting look to ensure that the weapon can be drastically altered and enhanced with a variety of attachments and mods.

Starfield weapons: Equinox Laser Rifle

Equinox Laser Rifle

The Equinox Assault Rifle was picked up from a weapon crate on Crete in the gameplay demo, therefore it appears to be one of the less common guns in Starfield. Its shots are incredibly accurate, firing lasers fast, and appear very similar in structure to the laser rifles in Fallout. Accurate, precise fire is where the Equinox will shine when used.

Starfield weapons: Eternity's Gate

Eternity’s Gate

Eternity’s Gate is definitely one of the best Starfield weapon designs we’ve seen, thanks to its sharp lines and bevels. This particle beam rifle certainly looks like it’ll pack a punch.

Starfield weapons: Experiment A-7

Experiment A-7

While the Experiment A-7 looks like a bit like a swanky rifle thanks to all of the Starfield mods attached to it, it’s actually a shotgun. While we don’t know how it’ll compare to other weapons in its class, it seems to boast a level of customisation befitting its name.

Starfield weapons: Grendel

Grendel SMG

When you want a basic but trusty SMG, the Grendel SMG looks to be the go-to option in Starfield. It is one of the many weapons and guns seen in the gameplay reveal and appears to be modelled off of a P90. It is a slower firing, more accurate SMG, holding 50 bullets in a magazine and capable of clearing rooms without needing to reload it.

Starfield weapons: Maelstrom

Maelstrom SMG

The next SMG is the Maelstrom, which appears to be a fast-firing SMG that can absolutely rain bullets. It is great at suppression and dealing high amounts of damage, but don’t try to use it while moving as the accuracy will plummet.

Starfield weapons: Rescue Axe

Rescue Axe

If you ever need to save a family of alien cats from a burning building, then the Rescue Axe will be your best friend. You can also probably use it for chopping down space trees, or for giving your friend Paul a haircut.

Additional Weapons Spotted

This weapon was briefly spotted in the game’s trailer and appears to be a box-like laser rifle that is reloaded by replacing the battery in the slot on the gun.

We also get a brief shot of a small pistol which is shaped with a hexagonal-like structure. It looks like it will be one of the harder-hitting pistols in the game.
