Starfield watch, in-game features, physical features

The ultimate tool is sometimes something simple, and the Starfield watch oozes style and substance, with a range of features and a physical version.

Any worthy space explorer is only as good as their tools, and the Starfield watch aims to be a great accessory to aid you on your journey across the stars. This watch isn’t just good for keeping time, although it must be hard to do that on your own in various planets and systems.

We’ve got some exciting details regarding the incredible Chronomark watch ahead of the Starfield release date, so strap yourself into one of your favorite ships, pick someone from your team to be your companion, but don’t forget to put your watch on before you go off on any planet-trekking adventure.

Starfield watch in-game features

The Starfield watch helps you in-game as a compass, it provides environmental information to help you prepare for a planet’s conditions, and has been used to unlock certain doors in Starfield cities and outposts in gameplay footage.

It’s likely that more features will be revealed as we get closer to launch (or should we say, lift off). For now, it works as an essential part of your HUD, or Heads Up Display, displaying vital information to help you navigate and survive the dangers of the Starfield universe.

But for those major fans of Starfield, you can pick up a real version of the Starfield Chronomark watch, if you’re willing to part with a decent chunk of money. Thanks to the Starfield Constellation Edition, you can get a working version of the watch, but you’ll definitely, definitely want to make your Starfield pre-orders or you may lose out on it.

Physical version of the Starfield watch revealed in the Showcase

Starfield watch physical features

If you’re willing to part with your money, the Starfield watch physical features include connecting to your phone to provide you with notifications and other information, as well as being a fancy timepiece for you to wear. It also comes in a very, very cool case.

It’s unclear what “other information” the Starfield watch would provide you with after connecting to your phone, with Todd Howard leaving the additional features to speculation during the Starfield Direct. However, fortunately for you, we can speculate, and we believe it would closely resemble a smaller version of Fallout 4’s Pip-Boy, offering details about your current player when you’re playing Starfield.

Whatever the Starfield watch does in real life, it comes with a nifty case that offers a NASA-like experience. When opening the premium box, you’re required to lift the handle and rotate it, providing you with a high-quality feeling as you open your almost $300 Constellation Edition.
