The best EA FC 24 players are yet to be revealed, but our comprehensive predictions of the top 100 FC 24 players will serve as a strong indicator for where the world’s biggest soccer stars should end up.

You can find a more comprehensive run-down of our top ten picks and why we’ve opted for them below.

EA FC 24 ratings: Mbappe

Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain) – 91

Although Mbappé’s World Cup campaign didn’t conclude with the Frenchman lifting the most coveted trophy in world soccer, he more than made his mark on the historic tournament by claiming the top scorer spot with eight goals to his name.

With PSG, Mbappé continued his prolific goal-scoring form, netting 29 times in 34 games en route to picking up yet another Ligue 1 title. This was topped off by a top-class Champions League performance in which he scored seven goals in eight games. Though the 2022/23 season was not filled with silverware for Mbappé, he remains one of the most lethal forwards in the world as he begins to enter the peak years of his career.

EA FC 24 ratings: Messi

Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) – 91

Lionel Messi may not have the same legs he did in his prime Barca years, but the undisputed GOAT not only managed to revive his PSG career this year, but finally shut down those who claimed he’d never be able to perform at his best on the world’s biggest stage. Though Mbappé scooped up the accolade for most goals, Messi matched him in terms of combined goals and assists (ten). And of course, the Argentine lifted the World Cup in Qatar, as Mbappé’s France looked on as runner-up.

While we expect Messi’s rating will continue to gradually decline over the course of the season, seeing as his cards have dropped in stature over the past couple of years, we think he’s done more than enough to maintain his 91 overall from last season. A move to a weaker league like the MLS, as Messi has done with Inter Miami, usually means a downgrade for a player’s rating, but after the season he just had, it’s hard to justify on this occasion.

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – 91

Erling Haaland may get all the plaudits for his exemplary goalscoring record this year, but Kevin de Bruyne has consistently constituted the heart of Pep Guardiola’s midfield – and for good reason.

De Bruyne is universally recognized as an absolute baller, and at the age of 32 his performances – be it in the Premier League or the Champions League – continue to mature like the finest Belgian beer. As such, we don’t expect a decline from the 91 overall rating he’s held since FIFA 19.

EA FC 24 ratings: Haaland

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 90

Erling Haaland not only broke the Premier League record for most goals scored in a single season (36) and won the treble with City this year, but he is also the EA FC 24 cover star – so why is he not sharing the top spot with De Bruyne, Messi, and Mbappé with a 91 overall?

Though Haaland has had an absolutely disgusting season, the young Norwegian still has plenty of room to grow in his game. While he should receive a much-deserved upgrade from his FIFA 23 base rating of 88, we don’t believe EA would be willing to put him on the same pedestal as fellow goal-getter Mbappé – yet.

A young superstar in his ascendancy, we fully expect that Haaland will have the highest potential in the game alongside Mbappé when it comes to Career Mode, with plenty of top-tier cards on the horizon in Ultimate Team to boot.

EA FC 24 ratings: Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona) – 90

Lewa, Lewa, Lewa. At 34 years of age, Robert Lewandowski remains one of the most prolific strikers in world soccer. Having left the Bundesliga for the first time in over a decade to join Barca at the start of last season, he managed to bag 23 goals in 34 domestic appearances while acclimating to a brand new league and roster of teammates.

While there is a very good chance that we could see Lewa take a small dip in some of his individual stats, we don’t believe his overall will drop much in FC 24, if at all.

EA FC 24 ratings: Benzema

Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad Club) – 90

2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema has made like Messi and moved away from Europe’s top leagues coming into the 2023/24 season. Big Benz may not have finished his final season in LaLiga enshrouded in silverware, but there remain few forwards who can match his output.

Having chalked up 19 goals in 24 appearances, it’s clear that Benzema’s shooting boots haven’t weathered, despite his diminishing minutes on the pitch. If well-managed in Saudi, the Frenchman should continue to showcase exactly why he’s deserving of his overall rating.

EA FC 24 ratings: ter Stegen

Marc-André ter Stegen (FC Barcelona) – 90

The ter Stegen versus Courtois debate continues to rage on among LaLiga fans, and while both keepers have put up some exquisite numbers this year, ter Stegen has had a standout season.

Achieving a monstrous 84.7% save percentage across 38 starts, ter Stegen has been the most consistent shotstopper across Europe’s big five leagues, according to stats provider FBref. Of course, he has faced fewer shots than some of his compatriots thanks to Barca’s top-notch defense, but it’s clear that he’s been able to come in clutch when called upon. As a result of this, we’d expect the German to return to the 90 overall rating he held prior to last season.

EA FC 24 ratings: Kane

Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) – 90

Few teams this season have escaped being Kane’d, and the talisman of Tottenham almost matched Haaland’s goalscoring output in the Premier League, despite traditionally occupying deeper spaces in Spurs’ formation.

A man at the height of his powers, Kane is a truly complete forward – something we’ve seen from him over the years, regardless of whether he’s been in the white jerseys of Spurs or England. We would be insulted to see him anywhere below a 90 overall in FC 24, especially after the season he’s just had.

EA FC 24 ratings: Courtois

Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) – 90

There’s not much to say about Thibaut Courtois that hasn’t already been said. The Belgian shot-stopper has been consistently brilliant since making the move to the Bernabeu, despite taking a season or so to really find his gloves.

Whereas ter Stegen has reached a new height this season, Courtois has continued his excellent run of form at the top of the goalkeeping mountain. As such, a 90 rating overall for the second season running should be, quite literally, on the cards.

EA FC 24 ratings: Salah

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC) – 90

Having finally broken Liverpool’s all-time goalscoring record in the Premier League, Mo Salah’s decline has been greatly exaggerated. In fact, it’s clear that the prolific Egyptian is just as lethal as ever, despite Liverpool’s inability to recreate its form of recent years.

Having netted 30 times in 51 appearances across all competitions, Salah remains the crown jewel of Jürgen Klopp’s offense, and one of the Prem’s brightest stars. Having pretty much equalled his return from the previous two seasons as part of a weaker Liverpool side, keeping Salah as a 90 overall makes perfect sense.

And with that our EA FC 24 top 100 player ratings predictions list has been completed. Although we’ve been fairly conservative with our movers and shakers for the most part, there’s a good chance that we’ll see plenty of adjustments as the new soccer season kicks off.
