Spider-Man 2 suits: Peter Parker in Advanced Suit 2.0 walking away from a hunter

Advanced Suit 2.0 – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Default

Bringing back the iconic Advanced Suit from the first game, the second version of Peter Parker’s suit features some white outlines as well as the ability to use web wings. From the first game, we know that during collectible hunting that Peter tried to make web wings work before, but it seems now that he’s got them working. Hopefully, thanks to either Miles or Ganke’s help.

Classic Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Default

Miles Morales’ Classic Suit is the culmination of some pivotal story beats in his spin-off game, which helped him define himself as being his own Spider-Man. This black-and-red suit harkens back to the comics version of the character, while also looking superb against Peter’s classic blue-and-red color scheme.

Spider-Man 2 suits: Black Suit Spider-Man in Spider-Man 2 gameplay trailer

Black Suit – Peter Parker

The Black Suit looks so good, that it will make you want to awkwardly dance in the streets. Created by the symbiote, this suit allows Peter to bring out his inner emo and become an angry, no-shit-given superhero that is definitely bordering anti-hero. This suit will likely be unlocked by story progress, given that Venom is one of the main villains of the game.

If Peter does lose the symbiote and is unable to use its powers, even in the post-story part of the game, it is likely that Peter will still be able to equip the black suit without the symbiote’s powers. In the comics, Peter received a black suit from Black Cat after he ditched the symbiote, and he used it as it made him feel more powerful and Black Cat said the black was sexier.

Spider-Man 2 suits: Arachknight and Shadow-Spider suits in pre-order poster for Spider-Man 2

Arachknight Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Pre-order bonus

As an early unlock suit, both the Arachknight Suit and Shadow-Spider Suit can be equipped earlier if you’re willing to place your Spider-Man 2 pre-orders right now. However, these costumes are available to unlock through normal gameplay, and we imagine this will be similar to the first game by using tokens from various content.

The Ararchknight Suit is based on a Peter Parker that merged with Moon Knight, thanks to some Infinity Stone shenanigans from Gamora. In a world fittingly titled Warp World, two souls were combined within the Soul Stone, with Peter Parker having four distinct personalities thanks to becoming Arachknight.

Shadow-Spider Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Pre-order bonus

Also an early unlock suit, you can equip this as soon as the ability to switch suits is open to you, providing you pre-order the game ahead of launch. However, you can still get the Shadow-Spider Suit through normal gameplay.

The Shadow-Spider Suit is one that Miles got in an alternate Earth where Peter Parker and Green Goblin kill each other during their climatic fight, with Miles’ father after the remaining Spider-Man when an accident kills the Prowler, Miles’ uncle, during a fight.

Spider-Man 2 suits: Spider-Man 2 deluxe edition suits poster

Tactical Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

An original suit designed by Joel Mandish from Bend Studios, the Tactical Suit for Peter Parker seems to be inspired by the Spider-Man 2099 white suit, as well as appearing to nicely fit the armored suit variants from the first game. It doesn’t directly reflect a comic version of our wall-crawler but it looks great.

Aurantia Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Designed by Raf Grassetti, this unique suit is a red, black, and yellow suit with a ninja-like half-mask covering the bottom half of the iconic normal Spider-Man suit. The yellow accents seem to be inspired by the Iron Spider costume, while the Aurantia name references the Argiope aurantia, a species of spider known as ‘yellow garden spiders”.

25th Century Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Passionately created by Anthony Francisco, the 25th Century Suit further pushes Peter Parker’s designs into the future with a silver-chested suit that offers a bubble helmet, reminiscent of Mysterio and Peter’s friend, Ant-Man. It’s accented by a blue light within the silver chest, while still having red undertones.

Stone Monkey Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

An original creation from Victoria Ying, the Stone Monkey Suit is a blue-oriented suit with a red chest piece, accented with gold, especially with the golden spider front-and-center. It seems inspired by the tales of Sun Wukong, with the various drawings and art pieces in the modern day offering red, blue, and gold clothing for the Monkey King.

Apunkalyptic Suit – Peter Parker

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

A unique suit worthy of Spider-Punk, the Apunkalyptic Suit still focuses on Spider-Man’s iconic red scheme but with a mix-match of blacks, golds, and different accessories to keep the idea of Spider-Punks non-consistency. This suit was designed by Jerad Marantz.

Agimat Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Crafted by designer Anthony Francisco, the Agimat Suit is a purple-centric suit that features golden circuity wrapping around the body. It seems almost like a Black Panther mixed with the Prowler suit worthy of Miles’ story. Considering how decorated the Agimat Suit is, it could be a reference to the Filipino word for charm, which is Agimat.

Red Spectre Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Designed by Sweeny Boo, the Red Spectre Suit offers a Spider-Gwen-like look, sporting a hood over a black-and-red suit with a bold white spider that covers the entire chest, being an interesting design echoing Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit but with much more flair. It also allows for Miles’ dreadlocks to come out of the suit, with red flairs at the ends of his hair.

Encoded Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

An original creation by artist Kris Anka, the Encoded Suit is a black-and-yellow centric suit that offers Miles a similar futuristic look which many of Peter’s suits from the first game focus on. It features bolt-like accessories around key joints of the suit, with an armor-focused design for the chest piece.

Biomechanical Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Created by Jerad Marantz, who also created the Apunkalyptic Suit for Peter Parker, the Biomechanical Suit emphasizes the spider-like features with a mouth reminiscent of a spider. It follows the traditional black-and-red color scheme of Miles’ Classic Suit, featuring a red fiber-like design and spider underneath black or dark gray armor pieces.

Tokusatsu Suit – Miles Morales

How to Unlock: Digital Deluxe edition exclusive

Another original creation from Julia Blattman, the Tokusatsu Suit is inspired by Japanese Tokusatsu films and media, which focuses on practical special effects, mainly within the genres of horror, science fiction, and fantasy. The Tokusatsu Suit seems eerily similar to Power Rangers’ iconic designs, sporting black and red, and considering the Power Rangers was adapted from the Tokusatsu series Super Sentai, this definitely makes sense.

Speculated Spider-Man 2 PS5 suits

We believe that many of the suits from the first game and its spin-off will be present here, including suits like Iron Spider and Spider-Man 2099 for Peter Parker, as well as an Across the Spider-Verse suit for Miles Morales, and a Prowler-centric suit like Purple Reign.

We’d love to see some more Spider-Verse-related suits, like an updated Spider-Punk suit for Peter Parker which would allow for Spider-Punks visual style from ATSV to be in the game. We also hope the live-action suits, such as The Amazing Spider-Man and Raimi suits to be back again.

In terms of whacky or damn-right different designs, stuff like the Threats and Menaces suit would be great, alongside must-haves like the Superior Spider-Man suit. We especially hope that there’s an Advanced Black Suit for a symbiotic version of Insomniac Games’ original design.

Those are the Spider-Man 2 PS5 suits in the game, as well as ones that we speculate could be coming. It’s unfortunate that there’s no Spider-Man 2 multiplayer so we can show off our incredible costumes to a friend, but we can at least show off our Spider-Man 2 DualSense to anyone who pops over.
