Is Death Stranding 2 coming to PS4? It’s the question many players who haven’t been able to upgrade to Sony’s latest and greatest console have on their minds. Kojima Productions’ sequel to 2019’s hit action game has been in development on PS5 for some time now, and there are hopes that Death Stranding 2 will return to the console that launched the series.
Having initially released on the PlayStation 4, Death Stranding later received a Director’s Cut, bringing it to PS5 – and so making it one of the best PS5 games – for the first time in late 2021. While we know for sure that the Death Stranding 2 release date will see it launch on PS5, a potential PS4 version might not entirely be off the cards.
Is Death Stranding 2 coming to PS4?
Kojima Productions has yet to confirm if Death Stranding 2 will come to PS4. When the game was announced at The Game Awards 2022, PS5 was the only platform noted at the end of its world premiere trailer.
With it looking like Death Stranding 2 will stick to current gen consoles, it’s unlikely that we’ll see a PS4 version announced. That being said, you never know what Kojima Productions is cooking, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
