Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is viewed by many of his Twitch followers as an expert in the battle royale game genre, after years of dominating the island in Epic Games’ multiplayer giant Fortnite. Following his experience with the genre and passion for the community, Ninja reveals Project V, a brand-new battle game experience built using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite.

Over on Ninja’s social media page, the popular Twitch star announces that he is “hyped to be working with some of my best friends to build the next battle royale in UEFN called Project V.” Alongside the confirmation of a fresh Twitter page for the upcoming battle royale offering, Ninja also adds that people can get “involved” by visiting the Super Joy Studios page. The studio is comprised of fellow streaming alums such as Jack ‘Courage’ Dunlop, Timothy ‘TimTheTatMan’ Betar, Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan, Nicolas ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, and Ninja.

Affirming its goals as a studio, Super Joy Studios details that “we’re a new type of game development studio—one focused on making quality and imaginative experiences in the Fortnite Metaverse.”

“We’re a band of friends, gamers, and fellow content creators that are passionate about battle royales. Since 2016, we’ve played every BR on the market, competed at the highest level, and collectively built an audience and community of over 140 million people. We know what makes a battle royale great,” the studio says in a recently released statement.

Inspired by the launch of UEFN earlier this year, Super Joy Studios explains that “it sparked inspiration in all of us. Immediately, we huddled together to brainstorm and all came to the same conclusion: let’s create our own battle royale with the power of UEFN. So we’re uniting our communities and pooling our resources to do just that.  And we want to do it right.”

Project V promises “custom weapons, a full-scale map, fluid movement and unique mechanics” as part of its appeal, in a bid to set itself aside from other experiences like Apex Legends or PUBG. In a similar approach to that of Herschel ‘Dr Disrespect‘ Beahm IV and Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek, the developer cements that “we believe that our players should have a say in shaping the game they play.”

However, players will be waiting for a fair while to get their hands on Project V, as the studio confirms that the experience is slated for 2024. So until then, prepare for the upcoming Fortnite Anakin Skywalker skin and other Fortnite Star Wars skins as May 4 approaches.
