The lineup of the Xbox Game Pass July 2023 games has now been revealed and it could be one of the best yet, with great indies and hugely popular games arriving. Leading the way on Xbox, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, we have some exciting Japanese-developed action games as well.
One big title coming to the service is on our upcoming Xbox games list and is definitely going to capture the hearts of long-time action game fans and those who have a history with Capcom games. But, you can also find some hidden gems in the monthly lineup, which are finally making their way to Xbox platforms.

These were officially confirmed in an Xbox Game Pass blog post. As you can see, there’s a handful of superb games arriving to the service this month, notably GTA 5, Insurgency: Sandstorm, and Exoprimal.
However, Exo One, PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls, and Spelunky 2 will be leaving the service in July, so use your 20% membership discount if you’d like to keep them.
Arcade Paradise – July 3, 2023
Arcade Paradise is built on a rather odd concept – you’re a bored laundromat employee who discovers and builds a dream arcade in the back room (seemingly pinching quarters from the dryers as you go). Essentially though, it’s a collection of awesome retro-feeling minigames for you to enjoy, and it looks like a hoot.
GTA 5 – July 5, 2023
Whether you enjoy great single-player experiences or multiplayers craziness, GTA 5 has it all. Even better though, it’s available right now as one of the Xbox Game Pass July 2023 games for console.
Sword and Fairy: Together Forever – July 6, 2023
Confirmed on the Xbox Wire to be launching on Game Pass in July, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever finally brings the JRPG to Xbox platforms.
McPixel 3 – July 6, 2023
McPixel 3 is a creative adventure which places you in the shoes of a wanna-be hero saving the world from disaster using unconventional methods.
It might not look like much on the surface, but it’s a unique game packed full of entertainment.
Common’hood – July 11, 2023
Common’hood is a settlement simulator with deep base building and customization tools. You’ll gather materials, grow food, craft, research, build, and more to create a thriving settlement.
If you like flexing your creative muscles, then Common’hood is certainly one to take a look at.
Insurgency: Sandstorm – July 11, 2023
Insurgency: Sandstorm is an intense, semi-hardcore shooter with both co-op and PvP modes.
Fans of more tactical, yet still action-packed shooters should definitely give this a spin on PC now that it’s one of the Xbox Game Pass July 2023 games.
Exoprimal – July 14, 2023
While we may not be getting Dino Crisis back, Capcom is bringing Exoprimal to Xbox platforms, as well as to Game Pass on day one. This was announced back during the March Capcom Showcase. So if you are looking for a fun third-person shooter, then Exoprimal on Game Pass may be for you.
Techtonica – July 18, 2023
Techtonica is a Game Preview available to those with Game Pass on both PC and console. In the same vein as Satisfactory, in Techtonica you will set about building a factory on an alien planet.
Players can explore a vast network of caves alone or with friends to build and ultimately optimize complex factories to gather and refine materials in an expanding base of operations.
The Cave – July 18, 2023
The Cave is an adventure game from the makers of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion – Ron Gilbert – and the creative minds at Double Fine Productions. You’ll assemble a team of three unlikely adventurers before descending into the mysterious depths.
