Can you transfer FIFA Points to EA FC 24? This is a question that is likely on the tip of the tongue of most Ultimate Team fanatics as we head into this new era of EA Sports soccer games. There have been some uncertainties around the transition between FIFA and EA FC, and this is certainly one of the main ones.
We’ll be revealing everything we know on this topic ahead of the FC 24 release date, as no one likes to see their paid currency in any title go to waste. Even if EA Sports changes the name of FIFA Points to reflect the new EA FC branding, many are hoping that it can still carry over to the new game. Here’s the latest.
Can you transfer FIFA Points to EA FC 24?
The digital currency of FIFA Points will have been used by the vast majority of Ultimate Team players to purchase packs and other items in order to upgrade their overall team. So, with EA FC, since Ultimate Team will be making a comeback, can they be transferred over? Well, there is no official confirmation either way at this current moment.
This is quite annoying for those that are deep into their FIFA 23 experience. That game’s life cycle is really coming to a close, thus meaning there’s no immediate need to be going all out with their current FIFA Point haul, so those players probably have a bunch of unspent Points just sitting there collecting dust. Others may also be wanting to buy FIFA Points now in FIFA 23 so that they can immediately jump into FC 24 with a healthy balance if they can be transferred.
Those affected will be in some serious limbo as to whether they can wait and dump all of their currency into FC 24 packs, in hopes of getting an Icon or Hero card, or just burn through the FIFA Points they have remaining in FIFA 23 to give the FIFA era one final hoorah.
However, with all of this being said, the FIFA Point transfer feature has been in previous FIFA games for as long as we can remember, strongly suggesting that this will also be the case when moving from FIFA 23 to EA FC 24.
If the FIFA Points transfer is available for EA FC, and is carried out in the same way as EA Sports’ previous games, the process is pretty simple. All you’ll have to do is wait until you jump into the game itself on the FC 24 release date, and when you load Ultimate Team up for the first time, you should be prompted with a message asking if you want to carry over your FIFA 23 currency to this game. Also, unless EA Sports changes things, you won’t be able to carry FIFA Points over through the FC 24 Web App or Companion App – it has to be done in the game itself on your console or PC.
One caveat to transferring FIFA Points is that this needs to be the same account that you used on the previous game, so keep that in mind before starting a brand new one for EA FC. Moreover, in the past, FIFA Points were also locked to the platform that you were on, meaning if you’re switching from Xbox to PlayStation, you’re going to have a hard time.
Finally, the transfer is also irreversible so if you wanted to go back and play FIFA 23 Ultimate Team for any reason after jumping to EA FC, you can’t then port them back across.
Obviously, when EA FC does drop, the Points naming convention will be disbanded and will likely fall in line with the new title. These could be called EA Points or FC Points to make them more generic, or even have a fancy name to make them even more appealing.
