Is Payday 3 crossplay? With the long-awaited third installment of the franchise finally arriving later this year, players are keen to know if they will be able to play with their friends no matter the platform. After all, crossplay is practically commonplace among almost every multiplayer game in 2023, so surely Payday 3 must have it.
The game is already looking to be one of the best PS5 co-op games and best Xbox co-op games when it releases and we would be surprised if it doesn’t also join our best PS5 FPS games and best Xbox FPS games lists. So, can you join your friends on other platforms in Payday 3?
Does Payday 3 have crossplay?
Payday 3 has full crossplay between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This was confirmed by Starbreeze in a development update on Steam, meaning you can play with your friends no matter where they are. The game also allows you to transfer your progress with cross-progression.
This is great news and given the fact that the co-op game is also coming to Game Pass, you will be able to play with anyone if you are using the service and want to give it a try.
However, if you want to give the game a try even sooner than the release date, you can always try and get access to the Payday 3 beta, which will give you an early opportunity to complete a heist or two with your friends.
