Do you want to devastate your enemies in close-quarters combat while playing Modern Warfare 2? Well, you need to check out the Bryson 890 – one of the best shotguns in this Call of Duty game. This magazine fed, pump-action shell-thrower can be a one-shot kill at certain ranges – and it hits hard enough to be worth using at longer ranges, too. So, if that sounds good to you, here’s everything you need to know about the best Modern Warfare 2 Bryson 890 loadout and what you need in your class.

We know this Bryson 890 isn’t going to have the range of the best Modern Warfare 2 assault rifles – or even the best Modern Warfare 2 SMGs – but, it can be one of the best Modern Warfare 2 guns in the game in the right hands. And, those right hands need to be using a weapon with the right attachments – so, let’s get stuck into that.

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about putting together the best Modern Warfare 2 Bryson 890 loadout build, courtesy of Call of Duty content creator ‘ItzEpic‘:

  • Receiver: Bryson 890
  • Muzzle: Bryson Improved Choke
  • Barrel: 21.5″ Tacfire
  • Laser: Stovl Tac Laser
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple
  • Stock: Sawed Off Mod

The Stovl Tac Laser is going to work well with the VX Pineapple underbarrel attachment to give this weapon something of an improved hipfire capabilities – which should help you in close-quarters combat.

However, in addition to this, the barrel attachment is going to improve damage range and bullet velocity while also giving you something of a tighter pellet spread. This is built upon by the Bryson Improved Choke, helping to balance this shotgun for slightly longer-range engagements.

Finally, the Sawed Off Mod stock attachment is going to improve all aspects of this weapon’s movement speed and aim down sight speed – which should keep you one step ahead of your enemies.

We know shotguns are a bit out of fashion, but this build is going to put you well on the way to having one of the best Modern Warfare 2 loadouts out there.

Best Modern Warfare 2 Bryson 890 class setup

Now, we know this shotgun isn’t going to be quite as useful at longer ranges, but you can pair it with a submachine gun to get a close-range class that has a little bit of adaptability to it. So, that’s why we recommend using this Modern Warfare 2 Lachmann Sub loadout or this Modern Warfare 2 Minibak loadout as your secondary weapon. Both of which do a job at middling ranges – and you’ll still benefit from the rest of the class’ close-range focus.

Looking at the perk selection for this class, we recommend using Scavenger and Overkill in the base perk slots. Scavenger is going to keep you topped up with ammo and Overkill is included so you can use an SMG – if you’re not sure what that does.

In this class’ bonus perk slot, Fast Hands is easily the best option here. Shotguns are never quick to reload and this perk is going to help take the edge off when it comes to that – even if this weapon is a magazine-fed one. And, finally, we recommend using Ghost or Quick Fix for the ultimate perk slot – depending on whether you are planning on pushing a lot, or trying to sneak around behind your enemy.

In the equipment slots, we recommend using the Drill Charge and Stun Grenades. The Drill Charge can be a great way of breaking into a building – or another room – and weakening anyone on the inside. Similarly, Stun Grenades can disorientate your enemies when you push at them – leaving them open to attack.

And, that’s all there is too it! If you want to get your hands on all the mastery camos in Modern Warfare 2, you’re going to need to use this shotgun. So, why not make it the best version of this shotgun when you do?
