Honkai Star Rail next banner: Silver Wolf blowing pink bubble gum. A calendar icon can be seen behind her, along with a blurred image on the Astral Express cabin.

What is the next banner in Honkai Star Rail? Within Honkai Star Rail, you can always expect a number of limited time events and exclusive characters to grab. The Honkai Star Rail banner schedule is constantly changing and rotating so staying on top of when the next banner is can be challenging.

Don’t worry though, we’ve made it easy for you as below you can find a full breakdown of the current banner which is taking place, as well as the upcoming banners set to arrive in Honkai Star Rail. These will help fill out the Honkai Star Rail characters list, which grows as each new month passes and each new update drops for the RPG game.

Honkai Star Rail banner schedule – current and next banners

The Honkai Star Rail banner schedule currently is:

  • July 19, 2023 – August 9, 2023 (Blade: A Lost Soul)
  • August 9, 2023 – August 30, 2023 (Kafka: Nessun Dorma)
  • August 30, 2023 – September 20, 2023 (Imbibitor Lunae, Leaked)
  • September 20, 2023 – October 11, 2023 (Fu Xuan, Leaked)

The current Honkai Star Rail banner is Blade, from July 19, 2023. Blade is a Wind damage Destruction character, and ‘destruction’ is putting it lightly. Most interestingly, Blade sacrifices HP for devastating damage, so you’ll want to use our Honkai Star Rail Blade build to set him up right.

Blade is joined by the four-star rate-ups Arlan, Natasha, and Sushang. While Arlan is more of a situational pick, Natasha is an excellent healer, and Sushang is the best four-star Hunt character available right now.

The previous Honkai Star Rail banner was Luocha. Luocha is an Imaginary damage Abundance character, making him a great healer. Perhaps most interestingly, Luocha has a unique scaling for a healer, so you’ll want to use our Honkai Star Rail Luocha build to set him up right if you did manage to pick him up.

Luocha was joined by the four-star rate-ups Pela, Qingque, and Yukong. While Pela and Qingque are more situational, Yukong is an excellent Imaginary support worth picking up next time she rolls around.

After Blade, we’ve got the second of the upcoming Honkai Star Rail 1.2 banners – Kafka. As revealed during the 1.2 livestream, Kafka constitutes the second five-star option, with four-star Nihility character Luka set to join the cast alongside her. Reruns for Sampo, and Serval will round out Kafka’s banner.

And guess what? We’ve already got the best Honkai Star Rail Kafka build ready to go for when she finally arrives. So be sure to check that out.

While HoYo has yet to confirmed the exact dates and contents for Honkai 1.3, the dates listed above correspond with the typical three-weekly banner cycle we see. Additionally, it has been widely-reported that Imbibitor Lunae and Fu Xuan will be the five-star units on the Honkai Star Rail 1.3 banners.

However, we will just have to wait until the Honkai Impact 1.3 release date is announced to see what new characters and events are actually confirmed. No matter who they end up being, do yourself a favor and check out the best Honkai Star Rail team comps and best Honkai Star Rail builds for every character.
